A little about myself: My mother was an artist and encouraged me from a very young age to explore my creativity. When I was 14 I had my first show, a collection of watercolors of sailing ships. At 15 my art teacher saved all my work and arranged for a scholarship for two months in France through the University. They came to our house and explained it all to my parents. Mom was ecstatic! Dad said "Art's for f**s, you're gonna work".
I stopped making art and started playing Rock and Roll. This taught my dad a big lesson.
I got married at 18, got drafted, served in the Army for a total of 12 years, then decided I needed a degree. After getting accepted into the masters program in Anthropology I took an art lesson.
That ended my anthro study. I came back to art at 40 and have been catching up ever since.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
The wine industry, remembered landscapes, travel, human form, color.
For paintings I use cold wax and oil, for photos I layer and paint on the images.
After University I worked as the art materials buyer for the University of Oregon Bookstore. I have had two museum shows, have works in many collections and museums, have a beautiful studio, and a very supportive wife.
